Dr. Nicole Socie earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College In 2021 following her undergraduate studies in biology and animal behavior at Canisius College.
Throughout her schooling, she often volunteered at the SPCA in wildlife rehabilitation and rabbit enrichment, creating a special place in her heart for shelter animals and wildlife medicine. Her love for animals took her all the way to India in 2019 where she provided veterinary care to street dogs and even sanctuary elephants!
While her experience includes surgery and urgent care, she particularly enjoys the relationship-building and continuity that come with preventative and outpatient medicine. She values the opportunity to get to know patients and their families and finds it especially rewarding to guide them on their journey together.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Socie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, gardening with her cat Two Spots, and hiking (her favorite hike is Bruce Peninsula in the picture). Having been born and raised in Buffalo, she is excited to continue serving Western NY families and their beloved pet.
